Together with the Polytechnic University of Madrid, T-Systems has set up the first virtual room with 5 projection views in Europe.

In this room, companies and research institutes can depict and examine projects in 3D before they start production. This minimizes production risks and saves development costs. According to a study by Assure Consulting, project errors cost the economy some EUR 10 billion per year.
The University and the Deutsche Telekom subsidiary are currently working on simulation possibilities for architectural monuments, among other things. Restoration of monuments should cost less thanks to 3D simulation. The virtual center also offers many opportunities in the fields of forensic medicine and surgery: Doctors can reconstruct faces virtually or prepare operations in soft tissue.
Simulation helps
T-Systems’ high-performance computers are already helping companies and research institutes answer urgent questions. The computer at the Braunschweig Airport is among the world’s fastest industrially used supercomputers. It stimulates flight patterns at airports, for example. This is to make air travel even safer. At the same time, research is being done into how airplanes can cause less noise and emission of pollutants in the future. In addition, T-Systems operates a high-performance data center in Stuttgart together with partners, where car design engineers are working on optimizing the stream values of cars, for example.
